PRAGUE: come for the castles, stay for the football

Prague doesn’t do football the way London or Madrid does — and that’s exactly what makes it so good. Here, the game feels personal. It’s about beer gardens, chants that echo down cobbled streets, and fans who treat matchday like a casual religion.

You won’t find corporate glitz or overpriced scarves here. In Prague, football still belongs to the people.

Sparta Prague: Old-School Pride in Letná

Sparta is tradition through and through. The fans are loud, loyal, and proud of their club’s long history. On matchdays, the Letná district buzzes. Locals pregame in Letná Beer Garden, overlooking the city skyline, pints of Pilsner Urquell in hand, trading predictions and playful insults about “those red-and-whites” across the river.

Slavia Prague: The Cool Kids of Vršovice

Over in Vršovice, Slavia has a slightly hipper vibe. Their stadium, Fortuna Arena, feels more modern — and the fans match that energy. Before kick-off, you’ll find them spilling out of cafés and bars, sipping Staropramen or craft brews from Vršovický pivovar, singing songs that echo through the neighborhood.

When these two meet in the Prague Derby, the whole city shakes — and every pub turns into a mini stadium.

The Bohemians Vibe

Then there’s Bohemians 1905, Prague’s indie darling. Based in the same district as Slavia, they’re the hipster’s pick — a scrappy, community club with a cult following and a green kangaroo mascot.

Their home ground, Ďolíček Stadium, is pure old-school charm: standing terraces, cheap beer, and fans who all know each other by name. It’s the kind of place where you can high-five a stranger and feel like you’ve known them for years. After the match, everyone wanders to local pubs for goulash, fried cheese sandwiches, and endless pints.

This isn’t luxury football — it’s love football.

It’s cheap beer, real fans, old rivalries, and endless stories — football stripped down to what matters most.
